Electronic devices

Do more on board

Iberia Express, following the recomendations of the aeronautical authorities and the manufacturer itself, has decided to permanently restrict the transport of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile devices, due to several incidents recorded with this type of devices.

Make the most of your time on board your Iberia Express flight, as you can now use your handheld electronic devices during taxiing, take-off, flight and landing, providing you put them in "airplane mode".

Larger electronic devices such as laptops and tablets must be turned off and stowed whenever the "fasten seat belts" light is on during the flight. These devices may be stored in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of you.

Devices without an "airplane mode" option or any other way to block calls and other connections, as well as devices in checked luggage, must remain turned off during the entire flight.

  • Permitted electronic devices include:
  • Mobile phones/smartphones
  • Tablets
  • Laptops (including notebooks)
  • Electronic readers
  • Headphones and noise-cancelling headphones
  • MP3 players, MP4 players and other digital music players
  • Handheld game consoles
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Digital photo and video cameras (excluding professional cameras)
  • Portable DVD/CD players

According to aviation safety rules, the use of headphones or electronic devices is not allowed during the crew's safety demonstration.

Please note that the captain may prohibit the use of any electronic devices for safety reasons.
