Certain parts of this website feature forms for submitting personal data to Iberia Express (such as when purchasing a ticket or when subscribing to our newsletter). In these cases, both required and voluntary fields are clearly stated on the form. If the information marked as required is not provided, Iberia Express will not be able to process or render the service requested.

If the user is required to enter an e-mail address or other contact information in order to access any of the services, Iberia Express will always offer the possibility, at the very least, of opting out of marketing and advertising e-mails and communications.

Personal data provided during the online booking and purchase process will be added to a file under the responsibility of Iberia Express. This data will be used for the following purposes:

  • Managing the requested service, which may entail the sending of e-mail or other communications.

In compliance with express public safety requirements for all airlines, Iberia Express may communicate passenger details to the national security governmental authorities of the country of origin, transit or destination at any time prior to arrival. In addition, in accordance with applicable air transport regulations, in certain cases Iberia Express may be required to report personal data to Spanish or foreign public authorities (customs, immigration, etc.) for the purpose of preventing or combating terrorism or other serious crimes.

These authorities may be located outside the European Union and might not offer the same protection for personal data as provided for in Spain.

These authorities may be given access to all or part of the personal data compiled by Iberia Express (first name, surname, passport or ID number, flight details, etc.) in order to correctly carry out the passenger carriage contract or due to a specific legal authorisation. In order to take a booking and carry out the carriage contract, it is necessary to gather certain personal data. Passengers may oppose the collection and processing of this data; however, this could mean that certain services cannot be provided or that the ticket must be cancelled. In addition, in accordance with applicable regulations, failure to communicate certain information or the provision of inaccurate information could mean that the passenger is denied boarding or entrance into a foreign country, with no liability therefor falling to the Airline.

For the purposes of recording and verifying the accuracy of the information supplied during the purchasing process, this information may be checked against that held by information management agents, solely for the purposes of avoiding incorrect or fraudulent transactions.

In order for personal information to be gathered for services other than online booking and purchasing, the passenger must accept specific conditions, which will clearly state the use to be made of the information compiled.
