How can I find the best prices?

Either through the flight offers we advertise on the website or, if you don't need to fly on a particular date, by marking the option "I Am Flexible on Dates", which will display a number of dates before and after the date you choose, allowing other travel possibilities with the cheapest fares available on those days.

Remember that, on European flights, most of the cheap return fares require a minimum stay, usually spending Saturday night at the destination.

Please also bear in mind that many other customers are searching for these attractive special deals, so the further in advance you can book your flight the more likely it is that you will get to take advantage of them.

What documents does a minor need to travel?

All children under 14 years of age flying with their parents, within national territory, are exempt from identifying themselves with their DNI. Their parents must be properly identified and will be responsible for the identity of the minors.

They will need their DNI on EU flights (Schengen area) and Passport (and visa if the country of destination so requires) for international flights and members of the EC that do not apply the Schengen treaty.

Passengers with more than 14 years of age must submit the same documentation as adult passengers.

For children between the ages of 5 and 14 years, who are travelling unaccompanied, an authorization must be provided by the parents or guardians in addition to the aforementioned documentation, and they must complete the necessary documentation required by the airline in order to accept an unaccompanied minor.

Companies are not obliged to accept unaccompanied minors, so we advise you to consult the conditions of this service.

How to check-in from Iberiaexpress.com in five easy steps

Enter Online Check-in and follow the steps below:

  • Step 1 . Search for your booking.

Reservation code. You should know the reservation code or booking reference and the passenger's surname as it appears on the booking. ( What is the reservation code and where do I find it?)

  • Step 2. Select the flight. Select the flight/s you want to check in for.
  • Step 3. Select the seat. Select your seat preference (window or aisle) or a particular seat according to the availability on the seating layout plan. If you already have a seat reserved, you will be checked in for that seat.
  • Step 4. Confirm your date. Check that all the information is correct before the boarding passes are issued.
  • Step 5. Boarding pass issue. You can choose to print out either the boarding pass on a PDF document or, if available, a points code (QR) which you can download on your smartphone and use for paperless boarding at selected airports.

  • At the airport.

    • No baggage. Check the boarding gate on the screens and go directly to the gate, first passing through the security controls* where you must show your documentation.
    • With baggage. Hand it in at the luggage collection counters or the check-in counters at least 45 minutes before the flight departure time (in Madrid this will be 55 minutes for flights leaving from terminal T4S). Then go to the security controls* and show your documentation.

*Although the airport security services have authorized the online check-in procedures they may, in exceptional circumstances, restrict and/or limit access to the boarding areas. If this should occur, please contact our airport personnel who are completely at your service to help you.

What does a restricted/unrestricted fare involve?

When we talk about a restricted fare we are referring to all those fares that have some type of limitation regarding conditions, which might be in relation to changes or reimbursements. They are usually the cheapest fares.

Unrestricted fares are all those that permit changes and reimbursements. They are called "full economy class fares" or "full business class fares".

Most restricted fares DO NOT ALLOW reimbursements, refunds or changes or they involve associated service costs.

What is the Card Verification Value (CVV)?

The CVV consists of a validation code to verify the authenticity of your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card.

  • On VISA and MASTERCARD cards, this security code can be found on the back of the card and is identified by the last three digits of the number series.
  • On AMERICAN EXPRESS cards, the four digit security code appears on the front of the card.

When can I print out my boarding pass?

You can print out your online boarding pass at Online Check-in from the day before and up to 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. At some airports you can access the boarding gate without having to pass through the check-in counters or check-in machines. Remember, Online Check-in is the most convenient and fastest way to print out your boarding pass from home.

Once the online boarding pass has been issued it cannot be cancelled. If you do not appear at the boarding gate you will be registered as a no-show passenger and the regulations regarding changes and refunds as provided for in the fare you purchased will apply.

If you wish to change your seat after you have got your boarding pass, you will have to do so directly at the airport. The online check-in system does not allow you to make seat changes once the boarding pass has been issued.

You will be able to do so at the check-in counter or check-in kiosk (at airports where they are available). If you have printed your pass from Online Check-in you should first make a copy at the machine and then enter your duplicated boarding pass to change the seat.

Residents of the Canary and Balearic Islands and Melilla. How do I indicate that I am entitled to a discount when I book a ticket through Iberiaexpress.com?

You should indicate this during the purchase process. Once you are at the Availability screen selecting your flights, you'll see that in the lower part of the page, at the same level as the "tariff" button, there is a message "I'm resident in?.". You should select this option and continue with the reservation.
Later, on the Passenger information screen, you will be required to fill out the obligatory details to give you a resident's discount (type of accreditation document and municipality).

In order to benefit from the resident's discount via our Web page, all passengers associated with the reservation must have the right to a resident's discount, they must be Spanish citizens, citizens of other member states of the European Union or citizens of other States that are members of the European Economic Area (currently Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), who can prove that they are resident in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla and who are travelling between their place of residency (Residents of Ceuta, will only be entitled to the discount for journeys whose origen or destination is exclusively at Malaga, Jerez or Sevilla airports) and any other part of Spanish national territory. If any of the passengers is not a resident, they should make a reservation separately.

Proof of residency can be provided by showing a Spanish I.D. Card (D.N.I.) or Residence Card for citizens of the European Union or other countries within the European Economic Area (currently Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), so long as the card has not expired and bears the address that provides the right to the subsidy. Residents whose I.D. Card doesn't carry the address providing a right to the subsidy, and minors who don't have an I.D. card, will have to present a valid local council residency certificate issued within the last six months. Minors that don't have an I.D. Card should provide the date of birth.

As of 1 September 2012 the valid documentation to prove residence in non-Peninsula territory (both for Spanish nationals and those of the European Economic Area and Switzerland), will be the Residence Certificate issued by the City Council or Town Hall where the passenger is registered on the electoral roll. Remember that, even if your ticket was issued before 1 September, if your flight will be taken after that date, you must present your valid Residence Certificate for the trip, at check-in or before boarding (as well as your National Identity Document to check the identity of the beneficiary).

From 1st April 2013, according to the additional provision 72 of Law 2/2012 , regarding the National Budget Bill for 2013, they are entitled to receive this discount if those family members are nationals of other countries and have the right to residency or are permanent citizens and nationals of other countries who are long-term and can prove that they are residents in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla and who are travelling between their place of residency and any other part of Spanish national territory. These citizens must prove their residency by providing their current registration of residency certificate and the ticket must include the NIE (foreign resident identity number).

When we calculate the fees for issuing tickets via our website, residents will benefit from a subsidy of 50% . The fee is as follows:
5 EUROS for issue of electronic ticket.

These fees will be applied if the ticket is issued via the iberiaexpress.com Service Center.
